Class Makeup Policy
If you miss a paid class, you do not lose the class. Please text 805-268-2530 to schedule a makeup class. You may makeup the missed class during another time on the weekly schedule that is for the same age group. You do not have to attend another class of the same category to makeup for a missed class. Makeup classes are good for one month before they expire.
Class Attendance
Please sign in your student before each class.
Due to liability and class management, only enrolled students may participate in classes. If a friend or sibling wants to join class, they must be enrolled and liability waivers must be signed online.
Class Protocol
If one student attends a group class, the class will be held at half of the duration listed. The student and/or caretaker may also decide if they’d like to save the class and use as a makeup class for another time, instead of having a private lesson. If two students attend class, the class may or may not be held for a shorter duration than listed, depending on students’ attention span.
Student Sickness Courtesy
If a student is under the weather, they must stay home & rest. This allows the student to recover faster & refrain from passing any sickness around. You will not lose the class missed due to sickness. It will turn into a makeup class you can use within one month of purchase.
Student Injuries
KDA staff will prevent injury to the best of their ability and knowledge, but please be aware that physical activity always presents a risk of injury. You are taking class at your own risk. If a student is injured, it is strongly advised to have them stay home and rest. This allows the student to recover faster. You will not lose the class missed due to injury. It will turn into a makeup class you can use within one month of purchase.
Attendance Conflicts
We strongly recommend that parents schedule their children’s doctor appointments, vacations, or any activity BEFORE OR AFTER a KDA class. KDA aims to give everyone a joyful, consistent experience in the world of the arts. Thank you so much for your understanding. Our studio cannot thrive without your cooperation.

If a dancer is having difficulty listening to the teacher and not following directions, a "Dance Break" will be encouraged, which allows the teacher to bring the student into the lobby for a brief moment where their caregiver can talk about why they need to listen to their teacher in dance class.
